What a time to be alive! The future is here and it’s electric.
I know that the electricity can be distressing. I know that there are very real personal and global events that are destabilizing in more ways than one. Its a challenging shift of perspective from things happening to you, to things happening for you, to things happening through you and as you.
Truth is destabilizing. It’s also invigorating and in time, deeply peaceful.
This shake-up is occurring through you and as you. This is your activation. Your dreams are manifesting you.
Scientists say that we have “junk” DNA, which is a predictable fear response to the unknown - a compulsion to control it by dismissing it. At some miraculous point in its lifecycle, the dragonfly, which spends years as an aquatic nymph and successful underwater predator, does something completely out of character. Some sleeping gene gets activated and it climbs up the stalk of a nearby plant and out of the water for the first time. Seemingly out of nowhere, it exposes itself to fresh air and direct sunlight. Then, through a series of moltings, the new creature that was hidden within the nymph awakens and begins to spread its wings.

My absolute favorite thing that happens as a coach / multidimensional-miracle-love-story-incarnated-into-an-ever-shapeshifting-endlessly-innovating-human-form is the inevitable moment my collaborators (coaching clients) make the climb up the stalk and let the light in. Before this moment, there are so many reasons not to. It doesn’t make sense.
Recently, one of my collaborators told me that she hadn’t taken the leap in her career because she thought she couldn’t afford it, she thought she didn’t have enough time, and because of a few other self-imposed logistical concerns, all of which she just cheerfully discovered was a load of expertly crafted, convincingly evidence-based bullshit. How exciting to get to be wrong about so many soul-numbing beliefs!
But the shift doesn’t come from creating an air-tight counter argument to the pre-existing beliefs. It’s a state change and it requires initiating movement without knowing what’s on the other side. What she can see and experience now from this fresh perspective is a world that she couldn’t have imagined previously, let alone set a goal to achieve at the onset of our journey.
Your inner dragonfly knows you’re here to experience more beauty, more joy, more connection, more life. The activation arises as tension to get you to climb the stalk, drink in the sunlight, and begin to unfurl your wings. The other nymphs may look at you like you’re crazy or threatening to the way things are. This is the domain of Aquarius ♒️: the one who steps outside the box to see beyond the known; the rebel with a cause.
You are not your perceived limitations.
You are a unique and radiant configuration of star dust. You are a tidal rhythm of ancestral saltwater; the fertile soil of composted trees, grass, and tundra. You are time, in motion. The future, unfolding. The revelation of sunlight, breath, and ecstatic molting. A strange and enchanting melody; an irreplaceable chair in the cosmic orchestra.
You are your dream. Let it warm your skin. Let it reveal you.
